T Minus 360 and Counting

The countdown clock is ticking. We've begun the planning for the dress, but need to choose the final style and fabrics.

Things we are thinking of are:

To use this pattern for the drop waist.

 This pattern for the veil.

This is one combination of fabrics.

This is a possible trim combination.

This is a combination of lace overlaying tulle and satin.

The beading on this fabric is very beautiful.

This fabric has very beautiful flowers, but lacks beading. It also has very regularly placed appliques that make it seem stripey.

This is the same fabric with the flash on the camera.
The fabric looks a lot more white when the flash is on.

Our Mission...Should We Choose to Accept It...

The news came in on Saturday; Teresa, our model for many of the dress photos in our Couture Wedding Dress project, has a wedding of her own to plan!

Would we be willing to make the dress?

Naturally, our response was..."Bring it on!" So, less than a year after completing our first wedding dress, we are back at it!  Woo hoo!

But now we know so much of what we didn't know when we began the first Wedding Dress Project. We know for example, all of the mistakes we should not make this time around.
What new ones will we make instead?
Knowing what we know now, I believe this is a much larger undertaking this time.

Thankfully, we have over a year to prepare.

First on our list of to-dos:
Try on as many wedding dresses as she can to see what she likes and dislikes.
Then we can determine fabric types and pattern styles.
Do we need a mini-me made of Teresa? Jenny has an idea for one that will be an improvement on the last model. Mini-me 2 point 0.
I'm already looking at Pinterest sites for inspiration.
